How to Delete a Lyft Payment Method

Once you have a primary or default payment set up, you can’t delete that information before adding a new card to take its place. When a card in your account is about to expire, Lyft sends a notification to keep you up to date.

Marking a Payment Method Your Default Method

1. Open the app.
2. At the top of the screen, click on the three horizontal lines.
3. Click on ‘Payment.’
4. Under ‘Payment defaults,’ you will see personal and business options.
5. Tap on ‘Personal.’
6. Your current default method has a checkmark next to it.
7. Tap on the payment method you want to change to default.
8. Click ‘Save.’

How to Delete a Debit/Credit Card from Lyft

1. Open the app.
2. At the top of the screen, click on the three horizontal lines.
3. Select ‘Payment.’
4. Choose the card you want to delete and click ‘Delete card.’

How to Remove PayPal Payment Method from Lyft

1. Tap on the three horizontal lines at the top of the screen.
2. Click on ‘Payment.’
3. Tap on ‘PayPal account.’
4. Click ‘Remove.’
