How to Start Getting Lyft+ Requests?
Lyft+ drivers, even if they have a qualifying vehicle, won’t be able to take Lux rides at first. This is because they will first have to obtain a rating of 4.85 or higher. Only after they’ve obtained an adequate rating through standard or Shared rides can they start taking Lux rides.
After you make sure your car qualifies, here is how to set up a Lux account:
- Log in to the Driver Dashboard,
- Make sure the qualifying vehicle is set as the active vehicle,
- Tap the profile image in the left top corner,
- Click on the Driver Dashboard button,
- Click on the Vehicles button,
- Click on the Ride preferences button,
- Select the ride type (you will be shown only ride types you are eligible for).
Can Lyft+ Drivers Take Rides Which Are Not Lux?
Yes, Lyft+ drivers can be available for standard and shared rides. It is actually recommended to do so since opting in only for the Lux requests can lower the number of rides a driver will get. A Lux driver can still see standard requests and take them to earn more. However, skipping such requests won’t affect the driver’s acceptance rate.
Now That You Know What Cars Qualify as Lyft+, You Can Start Taking More Requests
Although not all Lyft+ cars have to be black, all Lux cars have special qualifying requirements. In this article, we sketched out all of them – from paint color to driver rating and car model. So, if your car qualifies as a Lyft+ vehicle, you can go ahead and start taking more varied requests. We wish you a safe drive!
