Can I Tip My Doordash Driver With Cash?

Yes, you can tip your Doordash driver with cash or any item of value.  One thing to note is that Doordash drivers can see the tip before accepting an order. 

The problem with tipping cash is that it shows a $0 tip to the driver, which means a lot of drivers will not accept the order because they do not know you plan on tipping in cash. 

If you want to tip your Doordash driver cash, then you should tip half the amount before placing the order with your credit card and then tip the driver cash when they deliver the order. This will result in a much better Doordash experience than tipping 100% cash.

How Do I Get Doordash Credits?

Doordash has in-app credits that can be used on the app as a cash equivalent. The only two ways you can add Doordash credits to your account are by purchasing a Doordash gift card or by having Doordash add the credits to your account. 

Doordash gift cards are available online and at retail locations. As for having them add credits to your account, this often occurs after you complain to Doordash about an unsatisfactory experience with an order. 

You do not earn Doordash credits for using the app.
