We will give you all the information, so you can choose what suits you best.

Alternative Ride Sharing (Grab/Lyft)

Unfortunately, not even Grab, or Lyft is available in Antalya. But let’s start talking about other options.

Taxi in Antalya

Taxis in Antalya are a great option that you can choose, but in some cases, if you are traveling a long distance, taxi fares can be a bit pricy.

But on the other hand, when getting around the city, it is a very cheap option.

An estimated fare for a taxi ride from the airport in Antalya to the city center is about 2.6$, which is nothing. A base fare for a taxi in Antalya is 0.45$, and the price for every km is 0.4$.

And if you have a lot of bags, taking a taxi is a great option. You can call a cab via a taxi button in Antalya, they can be found in popular places in the city, and when you press the button, the taxi will arrive in a few minutes.

Also, be careful licensed taxies in Antalya are yellow and have registration numbers on the side. And another piece of advice we can give you is not to accept rides with drivers that say that their meter was broken, and don’t accept fixed fares.

Trams in Antalya

Another option that there is in Antalya is trams. Trams are a great and inexpensive option and great for tourists. They don’t go to all parts of the cities, but they will take you to see Antalya’s tourist attractions.

Antalya has two tram lines: the modern high speed, AntRay (available from 6 am to 11 pm every ten minutes), and retro Nostalji (available from 7 am to 10 pm every 30 minutes).

AntRay ride goes to the airport, so when arriving at Antalya, this can also be a good and cheap transportation option from the airport.

For every version of public transport, you will have to buy an AntalyaKart card, which costs around 1.3$, and with the purchaise, you get 0.7$ left on the card, and one tram ride costs 0.2$, so you will get three rides for the price of the card.

Bus in Antalya

It is the primary means of transportation in Antalya for locals and for tourists too. With it, you can get to any part of the city you wanted. There are bus stops everywhere around Antalya.

The sign for a bus stop is blue and has a big letter D on it. D stands for ‘durrak,’ which means ‘stop’ in Turkish.

The price for a bus ride is 0.3$, so you will get two bus rides when you buy the AntalyaKart card.

The most popular route by tourists is KL08, which goes between Konyaalty and Lara, and it goes to the most popular places in the city.

Walking in Antalya

The first thing that comes to our mind when we think about walking around a certain city is ‘is it safe.’ Antalya is a very safe city; of course, you shouldn’t be too relaxed anywhere since there are snatchers everywhere in the world.

Many people are taking walking tours around Antalya. If visiting as a tourist, that can be an excellent opportunity to meet the Turkish culture and try some new things along the way.

You can also download the app GPSmyCity that will help you if you are walking around Antalya alone; it will tell you about all the places you should visit and that you don’t want to miss.

Bikes in Antalya

There are some places where you can rent mountain bikes too! Renting a bike and cruising around the city can be so much fun. Have you ever tried riding a bike around a city you’ve never visited before?

And it is very cheap in Antalya, a 24h rental would cost you around 2$, and you can even rent a bike for a few days. And for non-European citizens, bike rental places will require you to have an international driving license.

Also, there are some places where you can rent scooters and motorcycles. The prices will be different for every model of a scooter or motorcycle.

Rent-A-Car in Antalya

In Antalya, there is also the option of renting a car. You can rent them via the internet, at the airport, or on the spot.

Most car rental places request that the driver is 21 or older and has a driving license for at least one year. And some rent a car service will charge extra for drivers under the age of 25.

There is also a rule in Turkey that says, “do not leave anything in the car that you can not afford to lose.” And when renting a car, try to rent a diesel, since petrol is expensive.

There is also one more option of renting a car with a driver, so you don’t have to go through all the fuss about your driving license, and if going on a more extended trip, you will be able to relax while you are in the car.

The prices will, of course, differ for every car you want to rent.
